Auckland, New Zealand  (24 Dec 2025)Bocuse d’Or New Zealand is proud to announce Kenji Yoshitsuka as the official New Zealand Candidate to compete at the Bocuse d’Or World Finals in Lyon, France, in 2027 — widely regarded as the Olympic Games of the culinary world.

Recently named Cuisine Magazine’s New Zealand Pastry Chef of the Year 2025, Yoshitsuka’s appointment marks a bold new chapter for New Zealand cuisine on the global stage.

Renowned for his technical precision, artistic flair, and relentless pursuit of excellence, Yoshitsuka is considered one of the most exciting chefs of his generation. His cuisine weaves classic French foundations with Japanese discipline and a deep respect for New Zealand’s premium produce.
